Lea Green, Merseyside Police Academy

Location: Lea Green, St Helens Value: £532,000 Duration : 12 Weeks

The work consisted of the refurbishment of the gym to be used as part of the training centre for Merseyside Police at Lea Green. The works included structural steelworks which formed the basics before the flooring and wall paneling were laid.  The gym flooring consisted of a tatami PVC finish mat and the paneling was a lightweight but shock absorbing foam, again with a PVC finish. To finish the overall shape of the inside of the gym, a new suspended ceiling was installed.   

The M&E works consisted of a new air conditioning and ventilation system and new lighting and emergency lighting.  

Finally, a new solid doorset, security gate and roller shutter were fitted to the exterior of the building alongside a steel handrail. The last bits for the internal works included a life guard seat and a steel cage.
